I have wondered, and not quietly, why someone would go to all that trouble just to swear at me.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Finally this year when they arrived again, one of my grandsons Hortense, the one with the cow-lick and squinty eyes, told me the truth. After a little research he discovered that they actually originated at an obscure centre of higher learning somewhere in the arctic called Frontier University. They might have said !! A short note nicely tucked into the box of glasses would have assuaged my outrage over all this time.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of initials, in my misspent youth L.O.L. meant Little Old Lady.
