Sometimes the political correctness of this world gets me down, and it seems a less amusing place. I know, I know, we must not make fun of the unfortunate or the different, but we are now afraid to say anything about anything except white males, which is encouraged through a nodding media.
I love the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, although aficionados will tell you the eastern beaches of Mexico are the best: whiter sand and fewer rocks. However with a little due diligence I have found a spot here in the west that is perfect for me and conveniently coincides with Fendencio’s, my favourite beach restaurant.
The weeks go by here in paradise beautifully for all of us except the cats. They absolutely hate Puerto Vallarta.
Among the many things you find in Puerto Vallarta is that you are capable of making new friends who are way outside your normal realm. I mean by that friends who do not remotely resemble the old ones at home.
A few months ago on a Wednesday, I took my place at my bay window roost as the club clock chimed 10. Comfortably slouched in my green wingback chair, I leaned forward and nodded at the first mem in the usual queue.
