I am usually at the Y gym by 7:30 most mornings, just to get it out of the way. I have never really liked exercising but there is so much proof of what happens when you don’t. I really go at that time because no one looks good then and so I am able to relax and do my little list of squats and weights without worrying about my looks.
However I do have a few comments.
I would say to the two women in the elliptical area next to me: If you talk all the time then it does not count as exercise.
To the guy who wears the same golf shirt, a faded blue one, every day: You might want to wash it once in awhile as we can all smell you but are too uncomfortable to say anything. You seem to think we are looking at you with envy. No, you stink.
The large man who sits on the weight machine near the bicycles: What are the rest of us supposed to do when you just sit there texting, tying up equipment for the rest of us? You are beside a sign that says: No resting on the machines.
And to everyone who does NOT wipe down your machine when you are finished: It is disgusting and the rest of us hate you.
Why do some people get it and others, no matter that everyone else is showing you the right example to follow, DO NOT.
I feel better now.
