Major’s ravings May 19th Victoria Day

Ah, Victoria Day in Victoria, how very Canadian.

Thousands are here for the beauty of it and our Victoria Day parade. Musicians from U.S. high schools and our own terrific cadet bands will be on parade starting at 9 am. All in all a great day.

I used to attend but now I prefer to sit at the club with a skeleton staff to look after my meagre needs, and leave the window open to hear the nearby music of the parade. You may see me waving from my green wing-back chair with martini in hand. The summer has began in a wonderful fashion. Have fun.
